The Ottawa County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the boy who drowned on Saturday at East Harbor State Park in Marblehead.
According to the Sandusky Register, 6-year-old Frank Lester of Gibsonburg went under and did not resurface while swimming in a swim zone at the beach.
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio and the Ohio Rail Development Commission are participating in Rail Safety Week; dedicated as a reminder to Ohioans to practice safety around all rail crossings.
Both groups are encouraging you to follow these steps for safety:

A $625,000 federal grant is headed to a Huron County organization to help fight substance abuse among youth.
According to Norwalk Ohio News-dot-com, the money will be distributed at $125,000 a year for 5 years to Huron County’s prevention coalition, named “PROSPER”.
The group aims to reduce youth marijuana use and underage drinking.
Send-off ceremonies this week, for about 18-hundred members of the Ohio National Guard…
Some will spend the next year taking part in what’s called, “Operation Inherent Resolve”.
Previous deployments have placed soldiers in places such as Afghanistan, Kuwait and Kosovo.
The city of Oberlin wants to make college, affordable, for those-in-need.
According to the Chronicle Telegram, Oberlin City Council has agreed to earmark 51-thousand-dollars in federal COVID rescue money, to help pay tuition for ‘locals’, who enroll in the “Fast Track Program” at Lorain County Community College.
The courses run 16 or 32 weeks, and offer industry credentials upon completion.

Tonight, the Domonkas Branch of the Lorain Public Library System will host a program for school-aged children called, “Toilet Talk”.
The kids will learn about toilets from around the world, and will build their own ‘flushing device’.
