Vermilion Athletic Booster Bingo takes place on Mondays and Thursdays at 1230 Beechview Dr., Vermilion.  Doors open at 5 p.m. and Early Birds start at 6:30 p.m.

Firelands Habitat for Humanity ReStore is open Thursday, Friday, & Saturday from 10 - 4 p.m. and is located at the North Coast Marketplace, St. Rt. 250, Milan.  They sell new & used building materials to raise money for the Habitat for Humanity Building Fund.

Erie County Dog owners are reminded that they must purchase licenses for their dogs even though the January 31st deadline has passed.  The County Dog Warden says that officers will be going door-to-door to verify that all dogs are licensed.  Those in violation will be issued citations.  State law requires that all dogs must be licensed by the time they become three months of age.  All unlicensed dogs can be seized and impounded as allowed under the law.  Offenders can be fined up to $100 plus court costs. 

 

The Milan Chamber of Commerce is having a fundraising event for the "Keith Ostheimer Memorial Fund."  This fund will provide an addition of a concession stand & rest room to the existing field house at the Milan A-field.  This will be in memory of Keith who established the Berlin-Milan Youth Sports League & active member until his unexpected death in April 2006.  All donations are tax deductible.  For more information call Kelly @ Kelly Graphics in Milan @ 419-499-9929.

4th Annual Western Reserve Foundation Golf Scramble takes place on Saturday, May 31st at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Norwalk.  Entry fees are $260 per team, $65 per person with lunch & use of driving range included.  Players can also sign up on the day of the scramble, beginning at 11 a.m.  Registration can be made by calling Regina at the Western Reserve Board of Education Office @ 419-660-8508.  Proceeds to benefit the Western Reserve Endowment Fund, created to promote academic excellence in the school system.

7th Sat. 5th Annual Alexs Lemonade Stand, hosted by friends & family of Kylie Dupont-Houtchings (1996-2006), takes place at the Wakeman Community Park, at the stop light on Rt. 20, from 11 - 4 p.m.  Look for the balloons!!  Also a bake sale, "Kylies summer of fun basket" - which includes many tickets to local places, and more!  All proceeds go to the non-profit organization Alexs Lemonade Stand Foundation in Kylies memory & to benefit childhood cancer research. 

 

8th Sun. North Coast Concert Band is having a lawn concert in Hedges Boyer Park in Tiffin at 7:30 p.m.  The concert is free and open to the public.  Those attending should provide their own seating.  (weather permitting).
